The next meeting of the Cross-Party Group on Mental Health :
Date: Wednesday 26th June 2019
Time: 1pm till 2pm
Venue: Committee Room 6, Scottish Parliament
The Royal College of Psychiatrists stepped down from the role as secretariat following many years of service, and there was therefore a pause while new arrangements were made.
Over the last few months, the MSP office bearers of the CPG have had discussions with interested parties who were considering putting their name forward to be elected as secretariat. From this, SAMH have confirmed their intention to stand.
As such, at our meeting on the 26th June, a vote will be held to elect the secretariat.
Please note, only Members of the CPG are entitled to cast a vote.
As this meeting is solely about electing a secretariat, so we can ensure the CPG can move forward without further delay, it will only be a quick meeting with a very limited agenda to give time for the vote, and to allow representatives of SAMH to introduce themselves and put forward initial thoughts on next steps. Although it will be a brief meeting, we very much hope you will take the time to take part. Refreshments will be available.
If you wish to attend, please RSVP to me as quickly as possible.
Kind regards,
Sean Rodgers
