Voices of eXperience together with the Mental Health Network Greater Glasgow want to know your thoughts on the future direction of the Mental Health Act.
Hear about the future direction for the mental health act and incapacity legislation and have the chance to think through your views.
We also want to look specifically at people’s thoughts on mental health and legal equality (an issue which was raised at VOX’s last members meetings)
* How can support for people with mental health problems be strengthened?
* What steps need to be taken to ensure people understand a persons’ will and preference?
* Is it ever okay to act in someone’s best interest? If not, why not/if yes then in what sort of circumstance/s?
Please note we the event is for people who have lived experience of mental health problems, and it is crucial that we create a safe space for each other.
Reasonable travel expenses will be provided.
